Course Structure

Aiming for a grade 7+ (8 weeks)

1) - Indices - This revision session will help reinforce your understanding of the indices rules and use them to develop your skills with these (a must if you are thinking of A'level maths).

2) - Surds - This session will cover all aspects of surds from simplifying to rationalising and will incorporate problem solving questions incorporating these skills.

3) - Tree Diagrams - This session will look at what a tree diagram tells us and how we can use them to solve complex probability questions.

4) - Constructing and Solving Equations (including simultaneous questions).

5) - Compound measures - This session will develop your skills on SDT and DMV questions and provide you with skills to approach the tougher questions.

6) -  Equations of straight lines - including tangents and normals and problems using geometry and circles.

7) - Quadratics - A session to include all aspects of quadratic graphs, factorising, solving, sketching, key points.

8) - Algebraic Fractions - Simplifying, four rules using algebraic fractions and solving.  

9) - Wordy GCSE questions - Higher GCSE. This session focuses on how to approach worded exam questions and looks at possible techniques that can be used to pick out key facts.

What is the Community?

This is a FREE private chat area where you can ask the tutor questions, share comments or work, and feel part of a community. At National Tutors we feel this is important to have this facility as it can be daunting learning online especially if you are Home Educated. At National Tutors you are never left. You are part of us!

How do I get access to the sessions?

After enrolling in one of our programs, you will login to our online learning platform. From there, you will be able to click on all the recorded sessions or view the schedule of live sessions be provided with a link to access the live sessions. If you have any trouble accessing the live sessions, just message the tutor on their Community page.

Do you do private 1:1 sessions?

Yes, you just contact the Tutor who will organise this with you.

What if I can't make the Live session?

All live sessions are recorded so you can access the recording at any point after.

My child is in Year 11 and needs help revising.

Our programs are designed to support students of all ages and academic levels,including students in Year 11 who are preparing for exams. My child is SEN and struggles. How can you help?

At National Tutors, we understand that every child has unique learning needs. We constantly looking for tutors who specialise courses for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure that they can learn in a way that works best for them. Some of tutors are neurodivergent themselves or have SEN children themselves so can empathise and support parents as well as the student. At National Tutors we just want to help children reach their full potential no matter who they are.

I can not find the course I need!

Here at National Tutors we are aiming to get EVERYTHING covered from KS2 to KS5 and more! If you cannot find the course or exam board you are studying then please contact us and we will action it to be included as soon as possible.
