The back story of National Tutors

We began in September 2019 with tutoring private students.

Back when I was teaching part-time at a school, I dreamed of starting a company that would offer personalized education to students. When COVID hit, I was already set up for online learning and could see the huge impact it had on students, both good and bad. It reinforced the importance of varied learning styles and offering options to families.

With diverse teaching experience at a Grammar school, comprehensive, and special needs secondary school, I use every bit of it to provide individualized attention to each child's unique learning style. Additionally, I work with a forestry provision for children with SEN, and two of my own children have SEN, so I can empathize with parents and understand their concerns. Being a teacher and a parent is a true asset to my work!

How do I
envisage my
company
growing?

Great question! I plan to expand my services to include Maths, Languages, Humanities. I take pride in offering great value and plan to maintain this ethos as I continue to grow.

“Hi all. First I will start as normal with the negatives, not much with this review except that I wish I knew it was here before. This person runs science online classes for key stage 4 GCSE and revision classes GCSE. Prices are very reasonable at £900 for the revision course covering BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY and PHYSICS. They also do ongoing support for year 9, 10 GCSE at £60 per month. And they also run a FREE online SCIENCE support group on FACEBOOK @CWTUTORING where you can get support meet the person and book courses. I could not recommend them enough.”

Kevin Allen

“Claire has been tutoring my daughter in year 10 and now year 11. My daughter has grown in confidence and says how patient and supportive Claire is. Claire breaks down the subjects and focuses time on the topics that my daughter needs more help with. She has both face to face and sessions over zoom and has found them both to work really well. Highly reccomend.”

Nicola Khan

“We had the great pleasure of Claire tutoring my year 11 son for science, both one to one and as a group. For a typical teenage boy he wasn’t keen to start but Claire made him feel relaxed and has done a great job. He enjoyed all of her lessons and she was able to focus on specific areas so that he had the best chances in his assessments. Can’t recommend her enough!”

Marie Greenwood

“Claire has been fantastic at building our daughter’s confidence and knowledge in all three sciences for the GCSE curriculum. All her sessions have been via zoom due to the pandemic, which has worked incredibly well. In addition she has made the sessions enjoyable and fun - an added bonus! I would recommend Claire to anyone looking for a science tutor.”
