I’m a qualified UK maths teacher with a first class maths degree, QTS and PGCE in secondary mathematics. Since qualifying as a teacher, I taught in both grammar and comprehensive schools for five years before taking a career break to have my children. I’ve been teaching and tutoring one to one and small groups online since 2020 and am a current GCSE examiner.
I pride myself on building a calm, supportive learning environment for my students. I’ve always been praised on my enthusiasm and my ability to help students build both their mathematical knowledge and their resilience. I’m excited to bring my passion for maths to these recorded courses.
I love both pyrotechnics and technical theatre and worked for many years on shows at both the Royal Court Theatre in London and on the Lion King. My professional theatre highlights were working on the London Olympics and Paralympics ceremonies as a spot light operator, and touring with the National Theatre of Scotland on the puppetry show ‘Dragon’ as a lighting programmer and operator. I now enjoy working on school and local amateur productions.
