I was Head of Latin in two private schools during my 20+ year career in the British education system. I also went on to hold the posts of Head of Learning Support, Head of Learning and Director of Studies. Nowadays, as a full-time private tutor I support students preparing for Latin exams at 13+, scholarship and GCSE. I am fun, creative, engaging and highly-experienced online tutor with a passion for Latin. Students love my classes and make outstanding progress under my tuition.
I am a vocational teacher with over twenty years' classroom experience teaching Latin, English and Drama. Over the last ten years I have developed a highly successful online tutoring practice supporting children both in the UK and overseas to meet their potential and achieve their goals. My lessons are designed to make the requirements of the course clear and accessible, engender a love of the subject and gain an understanding of what it means to be successful in an exam situation. There is no pressure within my classes, but the learning objectives are clear and the steps towards meeting them are achievable.
