I am a qualified teacher and Doctor of Science but also a mum of 3 teenagers. I have taught in a range of schools from Grammar to Secondary Special needs to Forestry provisions, so my teaching experience is very broad. I have specific interest in SEN students especially because my two sons have autism and ADHD so I can empathise and support them and parents.
The important aspect of teaching for me is to make sure every student learns in their own specific way and to their own ability.
I love Science, especially Biology. My degree was in Genetics and my PhD was on the Population Genetics of South African Dung Beetles at The Natural History Museum. The Dung Beetles I collected are stored alongside specimens collected by Charles Darwin.
